About Nate

Hey, I’m Nate, and it is the goal of this blog to try and sort through the mess of opinion and “facts” and opinion masquerading as “facts”, to find out what’s what.

I certainly don’t mean to say that I, of all people, have the sole ability to decide what’s fact and fiction, and that I have all the answers. Of course I do not, but I will try to sort through the political madness on the nation’s current political events, try and find the story beyond pundit’s political agendas, and give my opinion on the many issues facing our nation.

Being completely transparent, I will say upfront that I lean to the right politically and this is the lens through which I approach many issues. However, I would not characterize myself as an idealogue. I try to approach current events and issues from a practical, common sense view point.

Please read and enjoy. I encourage you to leave comments, challenge my analysis, and offer your own opinions. Thanks for reading!

    Hi Nate,

Came across your blog through another one. Looks like we share a lot of similar ideas on politics but perhaps see differently on a few things (health care?), so I look forward to reading, posting, and discussing here. Check out my blabbings over at if you’re interested, especially my 10 Commandments of a Sane Political Blogger.” ( You may get a kick out of them!

I look forward to our sharing of ideas.
